I know how to build a Rest controller. I actually abstracted RestController Handler Mapping to avoid annotations by using Simple HandlerMapping with an external reloadable schema

Its not as simple as you make it out to be

Besides if you want to test something like this, you test the service/bean, handlermapping or better yet do a functionalTest.
